In a recent Safety survey, Nine out of Ten law enforcement officers that stopped a driver who they believed were drunk, actually turned out to be Drowsy.
CSA 2010, which is expected to be in full swing by the end of -2010-, will place a greater emphasis on the Safe Operations of all motor carriers and their drivers. The DOT will maintain statistical data not only on the trucking company, but on the individual driver as well.
We are continuing to move forward with many new improvements in our operations to help us remain competitive in the industry, and operate safely within the DOT regulations. With these changes comes the need to instruct and inform our drivers so that they too can be aware of new issues that they will be facing.
September 23rd and 24th, Ryan Logistics celebrated the BEST driving team in the transportation industry. We are happy that many drivers could stop by and enjoy the celebration by getting some giveaways and good food. There were hats, shirts, tools and several other items for drivers to choose from. We also had Truckers for Christ Ministry here with an exercise trailer so our drivers could get in a little exercise while here.
Well, whoever imagined that “coming soon” would ever take so long? Ryan Logistics is busy implementing change. The change process has included quite a few things over this past summer.
